Cereus peruvianus or Cereus repandus

Water the Cereus peruvianus when the soil is drying out, with more water needed in the warmer months, and less water being required in autumn and winter.

During spring and summer use a slow release fertiliser to help promote growth. 

The Cereus peruvianus thrives on bright light and prefers periods of direct sunlight in a well ventilated room. Turn your cactus periodically to help promote straight growth. 

One of the most common problems encountered in growing cacti is the tendency for them to be overwatered, so only water as the soil is drying out. 

Pests that may harm your plant include snails, slugs and mealybugs. In these situations, either remove the pest or use an organic pesticide.
